Big Wave Surfer and Adventure Athlete, Jeff Rowley has just been announced as one of five finalists in the 2012 Billabong XXL Big Wave Awards in the prestigious Ride of the Year category.    Jeff Rowley from Torquay, Victoria Australia caught the finalist ride on 30 January 2012 at the home of the world’s biggest waves, the infamous Peahi ‘Jaws’ in Maui, Hawaii.
India discovers the joys of surfing
Five thousand miles of coastline and not a surfboard in sight – but that's all changing thanks to the Surfing Swamis. Born under the technical and spiritual guidance of a former American surfer turned swami named Jack Hebner, the group last year set up theSurfing Federation of India (SFI) and has just organised the first Indian Surfing Festival in Orissa state on the other side of the peninsula.

SFI at China Surf Festival image
China held it's first ISA and ASP surf event for the first time in Hainan Islands of China. It was one of the most important events showcasing China's potential in surfing. Kishore Kumar (President) of Surfing Federation of India was there representing India and extending support to ISA & ASP event in China.
